While some may argue that a high-performance gaming console priced below Rs 60,000 can outperform PCs costing over Rs 1,00,000, the reality is that a PC serves a multitude of functions beyond gaming, providing greater versatility. Many users still consider the PC a superior device in terms of performance, and in the long run, they prove to be more cost-effective. If you are considering building a new PC, now is an opportune time.
Featuring the latest CPUs from Intel and AMD, as well as refreshed graphics processing units (GPUs) from NVIDIA and AMD, we present a gaming PC build guide capable of handling AAA titles at 1080p and 1440p resolutions for less than Rs 75,000 in India.
The total cost according to the Amazon product listing is Rs 77,282, but a better deal may be available from a local dealer. Always compare prices on various platforms and purchase components from a trusted source.
Why did we choose these components?
**1. Intel Core i5-12400F:**
We opted for the 12th Gen Intel Core i5 processor without an integrated graphics card because the 13th Gen Intel Core series and AMD Zen4 series are currently on the expensive side. With a decent mid-tier CPU featuring six high-performance cores and a clock speed of up to 4.4GHz, the Intel Core i5-12400F, priced at less than Rs 17,000, is one of the best gaming CPUs in India. It also supports both DDR4 and DDR5 RAM, allowing for future upgrades to enhance performance.
**2. MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 motherboard:**
This entry-level motherboard supports Windows 11 and TPM 2.0, along with our chosen CPU. It offers a PCIe Gen 4 slot for the graphics card, two NVMe SSD slots, and built-in HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. While lacking Wi-Fi support, it’s a reasonable compromise for the asking price.
**3. ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3050 GPU:**
Priced at less than Rs 30,000, this GPU is considered one of the best in the market. The real-time ray-tracing performance of the RTX 3050 with 8GB GDDR6 video memory outmatches RDNA2-based Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs like the Radeon RX 6600. Additional components, including the Crucial P2 1TB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD, MSI MAG A650BN Gaming Power Supply Unit, and XPG DDR4 D50 RGB 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz, have been selected to complement the CPU and motherboard.
**4. DEEPCOOL CC560 Mid-Tower Computer Case:**
Chosen for its ample space to house all components and a transparent side panel for showcasing, this mid-tower case accommodates the build effectively.
**5. Zebronics Mouse and Keyboard Combo:**
Included for its excellent rating on Amazon, this combo complements the build. Note that the focus of this build is primarily on the motherboard, CPU, and GPU, allowing users to select other components from their preferred brands. However, the suggested components offer good value for money.
